We’ll keep up with state and federal filings, and track and troubleshoot legal risks to strategize for your business’s greatest success.
Package includes:
- Registered Agent Services. We receive and review important information from the state and either respond or advise you on what next steps are required, so you never miss a mission-critical communication. We also accept lawsuits on your behalf so you don’t accidentally lose a lawsuit you never knew about. Read more about the importance of a registered agent here. (Note: This service is included in WA and ID; for other states, an extra fee may apply.)
- Annual report preparation and filing, so you never miss your state deadline and your company is not accidentally dissolved (shut down).
- Annual governing documents review and update. Whether it’s your operating agreement for your LLC or your Bylaws for a corporation, we’ll make sure your documents are updated regularly to reflect how you actually do business, making compliance much simpler.
- Internal compliance. We’ll make sure your company is complying with its own internal procedures as required by your governing documents. This includes preparing critical legal paperwork your business may be missing, like draw and distribution approvals, annual meetings of shareholders, elections of directors and officers, annual meetings of directors and officers, and more.
- Quarterly legal risk strategy sessions. This is the biggest value! You’ll meet with your attorney quarterly at no extra cost to get legal updates and advice. You can all your legal questions, handle issues that have come up, and continually improve your business’s legal strategy moving forward.
- Unlimited emails and phone calls. If legal issues come up between quarterly sessions that just can’t wait, you can email us anytime and expect a response within the week (or shorter on our higher plans). You’ll also receive a priority scheduling link not available to those who aren’t on a plan with us to make sure you can schedule calls when needed.
- Review and comment. Have a document you’d like your attorney to review? Send it to us, and we’ll get comments back to you, typically within the week (although it may be longer for larger documents). (Hint: We’re hoping you’re sending us EVERY document to maximize your legal protection!) If large revisions or edits beyond our comments are required, we’ll let you know and provide an estimate of how much extra it will be so you can make informed decisions about both your legal protection and your budget.
- Lawsuit consultation. Did your business get sued? Or, are you thinking about filing lawsuit against someone else? Consult with us at no extra cost to develop and plan and a budget for litigation.
- Serial Entrepreneurs. Are you starting another business, a child company, or maybe a holding company for real estate or equipment? Get a huge discount ($1000) on forming that new company with us, and add that new company to your Business Basics plan for only $100/month more.
